Qualifying day is done and dusted at the British Grand Prix! Le0pard Racing will start tomorrow’s race at Silverstone from the first spot on the grid with Jaume Masià and from the fourth row with Tatsuki Suzuki in 10th position:
- Raining since early in the morning at Silverstone, Practice 3 got underway today with very wet and cold conditions, with only 13 degrees on track.
- Being the strongest riders on Friday, Jaume Masià and Tatsuki Suzuki went out on track today to test de conditions and get some laps done in order to prepare for a possible wet qualifying later in the day.
- Tatsuki Suzuki felt good on the wet and topped the session from the early stages of it. At the end, the Japanese ended in 3rd position with a time of 2’31.499. Jaume Masià, for his part, crashed during Practice 3, but was able to rejoin the track to finish in 11th position with a time of 2’32.766.
- Still in 1st and 2nd position respectively on the combined, Jaume Masià and Tatsuki Suzuki went straight into Q2.
- The rain disappeared for Q2, but there were still wet conditions on track.
- Jaume Masià set his best time of the session on his fourth lap. With a time of 2’25.072, he topped Q2 to end up claiming pole position, his second one this season.
- After his fastest time of the day was cancelled, Tatsuki Suzuki finished Q2 in 10th position with a time of 2’26.234, which means he will start tomorrow’s race from the fourth row of the grid.
